There's plenty to do - on and off site!

Watch the abundant wildlife either from the garden or on walks nearby. The local biodiversity encompasses a wide range of rare species including short toed eagles, honey buzzards, rollers, numerous fritillary butterflies, orchids, and many more.

Practice photography and even try your hand at botanical art.

Bake bread in our ‘soon to be’ refurbished bread oven & preserve local fruit specialities with local honey from the Miellerie down the road - take your creations home with you!

(All the above by arrangement).

Pay a visit to the nearby leisure lake Base de Loisirs Vere-Gresigne and enjoy swimming, water slides, pedaloes, fishing, boating, tennis, crazy golf, bbq and more. You might even see a coypu!

Explore the Tarn region on foot by walking/hiking along lots of designated walks nearby, either from the house or at different points. The Millau bridge is a feat of engineering and in the Cevenne National Park.

Improve your piano playing - music courses in the pipeline for 2018. There is also a music festival at Castelnau de Montmiral every July covering various music genres.

Every August enjoy the annual wine festival in Gaillac, celebrating regional wine or visit the local honey festival.

Amble round local markets, including the Tuesday market in the square at Castelnau de Montmiral, or the famous one at St Antonin Noble Var, as well as many other local village markets.

Visit the art galleries and exhibitions in Castelnau de Montmiral and other local villages and towns.

Cycle along the vineyards, or train harder up the hills to the local Bastide villages. There are many designated routes for every level.

Kayak down the Gorges d’Aveyron and spot a kingfisher, heron or several large species of fish.

Do a spot of Via Ferata and rock climbing at Saint Antonin Noble Var (where ‘Hundred Foot Journey’ was filmed)

Take a microlight lesson at Rabastens and enjoy the views from a different perspective altogether!
